A Ride out to the "Singing Ringing Tree"
(Last of the Summer Wine on Motorbikes!)

So Pete rings me up and says, "Fancy a run to see the Singing  Ringing Tree"  I says, " WTF is the "Singing Ringing Tree?"  He says, "A tree that sings and rings"..............Oh well, ask a  stupid question & get a daft answer I suppose.  I says, "Where is it?"   He says, "Dunno - Google it and find out, see ya tomorrow"

So, the following morning sees the 3 of us (Wesley came along to look after us, and lead the way with his super dooper new Sat nav) on a draughty moorland hillside stood alongside the Singing Ringing Tree - still wondering what the hell it's supposed to be.  As Wesley so observantly pointed out, "It doesn't sing, it doesn't ring and it doesn't look much like a tree either!"

All is explained here:

..................Well - when I say all is explained, it must be said that all we actually heard were the nearby sheep mooing,  or whatever it is sheep do ......besides make a nice casserole.  I think we can safely assume that the Singing Ringing tree isn't one of the most successful ideas ever to be put into practice!    Nice ride out to get there though!

Arriving at the car park for the "Singing Ringing Tree", in the hills above Burnley - Pete with his Cleggy cap on!

It's quite a way off the road, this is with the camera zoom on full tilt

  Cleggy in a pipe

In the absence of any "music" being made by the thing itself
Wesley and Clegg give it a helping hand.

.......And, there you have it - the (famous??) Singing Ringing Tree!!
Somewhere there's a street that's missing a load of good sewer pipes!

     It'll all end in tears......................................

       .................Told ya!

Lunch stop at "Big D's Bikers Cafe - Bar"........but you knew that though - because it's written over the door!

Big D's is a great place, you get an all day breakfast and an old Trumpet in a glass case..........plus a barking dog!
